Beauty Essentials For: Travel

Beauty Essentials For: Travel

Tis the season to travel and get away from the harsh winter cold! Every winter, my family and I make a trip to the Caribbean, which typically means "going on a cruise". For whatever reason, going on a cruise is the preferred method of travelling by my mother, but I don't really complain too much. The above picture is from when we stopped in Cozumel, Mexico on a cruise two years ago (gorgeous!). When travelling in general, there are certain beauty products that are absolutely essential while you're away from your daily routine at home. You certainly want to look your best while you're on vacation!

  • Oil Blotting Sheets- Nobody wants to look like a greaseball while on vacation! I mean, unless that's your "thing". Brikasia recommends: Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets
  • Hydrating Mist- On the flip side, from travelling (whether it be via plane or car), your skin can get super dehydrated. Time to pack along a nice mist to refresh your face every few hours! Brikasia recommends: MAC Fix+
  • Tinted Moisturizer/Foundation- Depending on the location of your vacation, you could use either a tinted moisturizer or a foundation for gorgeous and flawless skin. Your call! Brikasia recommends: OCC Tint
  • Mascara- If you're going to a much muggier place, waterproof is absolutely essential. If not, then you can opt for a regular mascara. You want to look awake while on vacation, dontcha? Brikasia recommends: Maybelline Define-a-lash Waterproof Mascara
  • Lip Balm with SPF- Even if you aren't in a tropical paradise, SPF is still crucial in the wintertime. Besides, no one likes chapped lips! Brikasia recommends: Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm with SPF 25
  • Cream Blush- Creamy and easy apply, it looks like a glow within when applied! Plus, you probably want to look like you actually have a pulse while on vacation, right? Brikasia recommends: Stila Convertible Color
Everything else (eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick, brow pencils, etc) are completely optional, it just depends on what you are used to wearing. If nothing else, the above list is the bare minimum. Of course, while I am on my travels, I pack wayyy more than I need to, but I like to be prepared! ;)
