The Homebody's Guide: Anna Sui S/S 2013 Makeup

For the Anna Sui fashion show at New York Fashion Week, the legendy Pat McGrath was in charge of the makeup, and she did not disappoint. With the hair being so bright and colorful, McGrath gave the models either blue eyes or red eyes. The graphic liner is very punk-inspired, which is exactly what Anna Sui wanted, and Pat used a combination of CoverGirl products and theatrical paint. Everything else was left bare to let the eye makeup shine through. I knew as soon as I saw this that I had to recreate it, and add a little twist of my own. It wasn't too difficult, but it was just a little time consuming. The great thing about it is that the liner doesn't have to be perfect, because nothing about punk is really perfect.
I did more of a teal blue than a cobalt blue, and I added a touch of gold liner to accentuate the black liner. I didn't use too many products either, which is always a plus!

Inglot Gel Liner in 87 (teal)
MAC Zingy E/S (L/E, but Electric Eel is similar)
Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Black Ink
Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Liner in El Dorado
Makeup Forever Smoky Lash
I used the tiniest bit of concealer to tone down my lip color, and used absolutely no blush or bronzer. I very lightly penciled in my brows with the Anastasia Brow Wiz. And that was it! This is definitely not a wearable look, but it may be fun to bust out at a rock concert. Would you ever dare to wear this out?

  1. Wow, these are really dramatic, but really beautiful.
