Anyway, the purpose of the Blogger Preview was for James Vincent to explain to us bloggers what the purpose of The Makeup Show is while also previewing new product releases, discussing keynote speakers, and getting a little bag containing some of James' favorite products from the show. Throughout the coming month I will be reviewing so many products, so do stick around for all of that!
The Makeup Show is in its seventh year, with this being its first stop in Orlando. James kept emphasizing that The Makeup Show is FOR artists, BY artists, and that it is the largest pro-only beauty show of its kind. If The Makeup Show ever comes to a city near you, I urge you to go check it out. I learned so much this past weekend and met some of the most amazing artists, while making great new friends. The great thing about The Makeup Show is how intimate it is. There were only about 60 brands present, and while that is a lot, I didn't feel too overwhelmed and really got to interact with the brands and their owners.
During the preview, Youtube gurus Elessa from Pursebuzz and Koren of Enkore Makeup stopped by rather unexpectedly, and went up on stage with James to talk about the products they were planning to launch at the show. Of course, all of us bloggers were freaking out, because these guys are huge deals in the online beauty community. They were so sweet to us bloggers, and I can't even begin to tell you how freakin' adorable Elessa is in person (and online!!). Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Sandy, Koren wasn't able to sell a lot of products he planned on launching at the show, such as an Ultrasonic Brush Cleaner that can clean 32 brushes in under 4 minutes. WHAT!

A special thanks to Melody for giving me this opportunity to attend The Makeup Show as press and for giving me the opportunity to attend The Makeup Show. And another thanks to James and all of the other wonderful people at The Makeup Show for not only making us bloggers feel right at home, but for graciously giving us bloggers a bag of goodies to take home and review. Stick around the next couple of days for my show recaps! Happy Tuesday, ya'll!
Glad you had a great time! I've been to the Makeup Show Chicago 2 years (it's only been here twice) and it's so much fun. James is seriously HILARIOUS. He had us in stitches both years. It really is an amazing event and I've met some of the sweetest bloggers and people while attending.
ReplyDeleteI love love loooove James. I'd love to go to the Chicago show, maybe one day!
