Review: Le Métier de Beauté Nail Polish

posted on: 1.22.2013

Le Metier de Beaute has a new limited edition nail lacquer collection coming to stores soon (although I think it is already available online at Neiman Marcus) and I have in my possession one of the colors. The Coromandel Collection includes four lacquers: Indo-sheen Red, Saucey Plum, Cloisin-navy, and Made in the Jade. The color I have is Saucey Plum. Each lacquer retails for $18 for .40 oz of product.

Saucey Plum is one of those colors that is surprisingly difficult to get a good picture of. It is a dark and vampy polish that a lot of times can translate as black on photographs, but in reality is just a super dark plum color. The brush is super wide and paints evenly on my nails, and is probably one of my favorite brushes from a nail polish. The lacquer itself is incredibly pigmented, sometimes warranting only one coat for full coverage.

I know it is pricey, but you may want to give these polishes a look if you ever come across them in a department store. I've used this polish a lot recently, and it is the perfect shade if you are looking for something sleek and sophisticated.
