At the Benefit Lash Bash that I attended at the Cult Nails Compound, Maria so graciously gifted me the latest Cult Nails collection. Called the "All Access Collection", this collection is reminiscent of the grunge trend from the 1990s. Maria has posted the inspiration behind this collection and the process she went through to create these colors on my blog, along with swatches, on her blog. This collection is so perfect for fall, I can't even handle it. This collection is available for pre-sale starting on Friday, September 27, for $48 for all five shades. Each polish typically retails for $12, so $48 for all five shades is a steal!

Lamestain is a deep, deep crimson shade that borders on black territory. I tried telling my mom this shade was an "oxblood color", but she did not like the name oxblood one bit, so crimson it is! This is the fall nail color of my dreams, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to go through this whole bottle. The formula on this shade is amazing. It takes two thin coats to be completely opaque.

Grunge is a completely amazing shade of mossy green that can lean gray depending on how the light hits it. I can already tell that this is going to be a staple for my nails this season. I've already decided that I'm going to be sporting this color on my nails for The Makeup Show this weekend! This formula is perfect, and only requires two coats for complete opacity.

Wack Slacks is an amazing blue-purple that could kind of be a cornflower blue in some lighting. I don't really know how to describe this color, except for that it is amazing. And-get this- it's a one coater. On all nails (except for my middle finger), I have only one coat of Wack Slacks on. On my middle finger I have on two coats just to see if there was any noticeable difference. Fun fact: there's not.

Feedback is a gold flakie topcoat, and packs a lot of flakies with just one coat. This can be a bit messy if you're not used to working with flakies (like yours truly), but the impact of it is just great.

Disillusion is a black jelly base with hot pink flakies mixed in. This shade was a little hard to work with, and can get really thick as it takes three coats for full opacity. Maria recommends waiting for each coat to completely dry before applying the next coat, so it doesn't get too thick (I clearly did not listen). She also applied one coat of Disillusion over Nevermore (her trademark one-coat black polish), and it looked amazing. So, I'll have to try that next time, as this polish is absolutely beautiful!

Only Lamestain and Grunge will be apart of the Cult Nails permanent collection, while Wack Slacks, Feedback, and Disillusion will be limited edition colors. Have you ever purchased a polish from Cult Nails? Do any of these shades interest you for fall?

Disclosure: I received this collection courtesy of Cult Nails. This does not affect my opinion on the collection.

  1. The only colors I feel like I NEED are Lamestain, Disillusion and Feedback. Maybe Grunge. They all look gorgeous though!

  2. I jumped right in a bought the set! I was especially attracted to Disillusion, but I'm also looking forward to Grunge, which is odd, because it isn't my usual type of colour choice.

    1. I didn't think I'd like Grunge either but it's probably my favorite color from the collection!
