Mein Herr is a "creme fraiche nude" (which, in simpler terms, is a nude beige) while New Wave is a "glassy neon pink". Nude lipstick colors in general tend to wash me out and make my lips look freaky, so I wasn't 100% on the Mein Herr lip tar. I do, however, believe that this is an essential color if you have an olive complexion. Nude lipsticks truly look best on people with tanner complexions, whereas on paler girls (such as myself), we look too washed out. New Wave is the lip gloss of my dreams. I only used a drop of color on the swatch below, and I got full coverage of a beautiful pink. When the gloss starts wearing off, I am left with a slight stain on the lips that I cannot complain about.
I am very excited to add these two colors into my lip tar collection. Fellow makeup artists: you need these in your kit. These are two very versatile colors! While I have yet to mix them both together, I imagine they make a very awesome color. These are available for $18 on the Sephora website. Have you ever tried anything from OCC?
