In my most recent swap with my friend Vanessa, one of the products she got me was the Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek GeleƩ in Pink Escape. To say that this item has been on my wish list for a while would be an understatement. In an effort to be more conscious of the products I put on my face, I've been turning to Josie Maran's products (such as their cleansing oil and argan oil moisturizer).

This product is definitely interesting. When I first tried it, I really did not know what to make of it. The texture of the product is very gel-like, but is firm to the touch. I really don't know how else to describe it. It totally looks like gelatin (and feels like it too), but isn't as easy to penetrate as gelatin is. It's a lot firmer than gel and cream products. The application of the product is pretty sheer, and really melts into the skin. The cool thing about this product is how long it stays on for. This gel acts more like a stain than anything else- I wore this as blush this past weekend and it stayed put for over ten hours. Talk about lasting power!

Available for $22, this product will last you a very long time. It feels really great on the skin, and would be suitable for all skin types. It's been very hot and humid in Florida lately, and this didn't make my skin look or feel oily like many cream blushes tend to do. You could also use this as a lip stain! I definitely plan on adding this product into my makeup kit, and collect all the shades. This product is available on Amazon and in Sephora stores. Have you tried this product yet, or anything else from Josie Maran's line?

  1. I can def. imagine the feel of this product! It's so hard to describe a gel or mouse product that seems to be firm, haha! I really like the color and I can't believe that lasting power! I've been on the hunt for more long-wearing products because my shifts at work are 9 hours and everything seems to fade!! Thanks for this!! :)
