For those of you who have been in the online beauty community for a few years should definitely recognize the product I'm about to review today. The Makeup Forever 12 Flash Color Case is almost like a mythological creature in the makeup world. It is highly coveted, highly priced, and, when purchased, kind of makes the buyer "legitimate" in the eyes of most makeup enthusiasts. With just these twelve colors, you can do a full face of makeup. You can create foundation with this, cream blushes, and whatever else your mind can think up. This is a staple in almost every makeup artists' kit. And I finally got my hands on this palette at The Makeup Show Orlando.
The Makeup Forever 12 Flash Color Case retails for $99. It is currently sold out at Sephora, but you can probably order it by calling Makeup Forever directly. It contains the following twelve flash colors (which are basically grease paints): Gold (004), Coral (002), Turquoise (000), Fuchsia (005), Yellow (013), Brown (023), Silver (003), White (010), Red (017), Bright Blue (014), Leaf Green (008), and Black (011). These are also available individually in pan form, pot form, and stick form, but you will have to call Makeup Forever to order them individually.
If you're looking to do costume makeup, these are really great. Because these are grease paints, they tend to move around on the skin if they aren't set with powder. These are highly emollient and crazy pigmented. I haven't had time to play with this too much, but from what I've experimented with so far... This is a must-have. I will be using these in the upcoming weeks, and can't wait to show you guys the looks I'm creating with this palette. If you want to get real with your artistry, you definitely need this in your possession. I regret not getting this sooner! So many wasted opportunities! Do you have this palette? What are your thoughts on it?

I wanted to get this palette so bad but wasn't sure if I had the money so I stayed away from the MUFE booth all together :( Now I'm disappointed that I didn't get it. Boo
ReplyDeleteWell there's always next year! It took me like 3 years to muster up the courage to get this bad boy lol.
DeleteI've wanted to get this before I even really got into makeup but I seriously have no idea what I'd do with it all. Just stare at it? Haha! Those colors are so crazy pigmented I would just paint my face once a week like a tiger, haha! Thanks for the review! MUFE is coming to IMATS NYC so I may just snap this up :D
