LOOK 1- A LIGHT GOLD WASH
This first look is so easy, a caveman could do it! Cheesiness aside, I am not kidding you when I say how simple this is. All I did here was add a yellow gold eyeshadow (I used Urban Decay's Half Baked eyeshadow) onto the lid, and blend slightly into the crease. I added mascara, and that's it! I didn't add any blush, because I wanted to keep this simple. This is great for those of you who are afraid of wearing too much makeup with a red lip.
LOOK 2- BROWN SMOKY EYE
This is the perfect look if you're feeling bold and want to vamp things up a bit. I built on the previous look (so the previous look would make for a great "day" look, and this would make for a great "night" look!), and layered a deep, shimmery brown over the gold eyeshadow (I used Urban Decay Darkhorse eyeshadow). I applied this to the lid, and then took a medium brown eyeshadow (Urban Decay Buck) and used this in the crease to blend everything out. I applied the dark brown eyeshadow under the eye aas well, and then took a black eyeshadow and smudged it on the outer half of my upper lashline. I also added a little bit of a rose gold blush onto the cheeks.
LOOK 3- UNEXPECTED GOLD TWIST
So, the eye makeup here is exactly the same as Look #2. This look is a fun variation that you can do with any eye makeup you want. All I did here was add a yellow-gold eyeshadow onto the center of my lips. It adds an unexpected twist to the red lip, and is visually stunning. This would pair well with a winged liner, or even a dark smoky eye like above. If you wear this to a party, it would be smart to bring the gold eyeshadow with you for touchups.

By the way, the red lipstick I am wearing in these looks is MAC's Russian Red lipstick. It is a classic, and while I'm not a huge fan of MAC, I am a huge fan of this lipstick. It is a classic that will never go out of style. What are some of your favorite ways to wear a red lip?
Look 3 is my favorite. It's so elegant and unusual because most people on the regular don't do this technique on their lips x
