The Best in Undereye Concealers

When it comes to undereye circles, mine are no joke. I could pull a Rip Van Winkle and sleep to my heart's content, but I will still have these damned undereye circles. Apparently they're "genetic," and I better get used to loving these perma-sleepy eyes. Anyway, I'm always on the hunt for an undereye concealer that will help me look somewhat awake, and won't require too much time and effort on my part.

I use the Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer (#1) in my makeup kit, and personally, as well. I only use this when I know there will be pictures taken, since it is formulated for HD cameras and won't flash back. It's pretty expensive, which is another reason I use it so sparingly. It's also super creamy, and makes blending a breeze. And because of the salmon-y undertones of the concealer, it counteracts the dark blue in my undereye circles. Color theory!!

When I'm traveling or on the go, my go-to concealer is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (#2). I've been supremely impressed with this concealer. Since it comes in a tube with a fun little wand, it is super portable and great for touch ups. This is some heavy-grade concealer, and will truly cover up your undereye circles. I haven't yet tried using it with photography (I'm a lil' scaredy cat), but I don't think it would flash back. I could be wrong though (tell me I'm not wrong!!).

My everyday concealer is the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Conceal (#3) concealer. This is also formulated for HD cameras, but isn't as creamy as the Eve Pearl concealer. This also does a great job at covering my undereye circles. It is also thick enough to cover any redness and acne spots. It's a great all-in-one type of concealer.

When it comes to undereye concealers, what are your go-to's?

  1. Yay, concealers! I seem to have troubles covering mine too, but only ONE of the two- like one side has more blue to it! Lol it's soo weird. I went to the Nars counter to try the creamy concealer and it got creasy on me D: maybe I'd do better if I tried to apply it myself. And I never even though of the OCC one, I'll have to take that one for a spin :D great post!

    1. I think undereye concealers are just weird in general, lol! Hmm, what if you tried setting it with a powder? The OCC is a great one and shouldn't crease, maybe you need to use less creamy concealers to avoid creasing!

  2. Thanks for sharing. I never use concealer but I'm getting to the point where I should start doing so. Darn undereye circles! I think I'll start with your everyday recommendation. :)
