Disclosure: Thanks to Cottonelle for sponsoring today's post!
Let's be real: mornings are terrible, especially when they're on a Monday. While I prefer waking up early over staying out late, I am still dragging my feet first thing in the morning. Having a set morning routine helps me get through my mornings in one piece, and when I don't have my morning routine, I know my day is going to be awful. And since I've been traveling so much lately, I've gotta say... I really appreciate the amenities in my own bathroom, like Cottonelle.
To kickstart my morning routine, after brushing my teeth and putting my contacts in, I have to go into the kitchen and eat my breakfast and have my coffee. There is no way around it. I'm pretty big on breakfast, so I make sure I have my protein (EGGS!), my fiber (FRUIT!), and my caffeine (COFFEE!). But, as you coffee drinkers and fiber lovers know, that means it's also time to head back to the bathroom to do, ahem, your "business". Since we're already in "TMI Territory", I gotta hand it to Cottonelle... They make a great TP, and their Flushable Cleansing Cloths? So nice and so fresh. In the words of the great Outkast, they are "so fresh and so clean clean". And, best of all, these cleansing cloths are sewer- and septic-safe. Woo!
Anyway, after my morning business is done, it is shower time! I'm kind of obsessed with taking showers, so I take a minimum of two a day. I swear by Dr. Bronner's Pure Castille Soap. It's so good! And a big bottle will pretty much last forever. I don't wash my hair everyday, so typically I'll just lather up, rinse off, and then continue with my routine. I wash my face out of the shower, and swear by SW Basics of Brooklyn's Cleanser + Toner. After that, I apply my moisturizer and then SW Basic's body oil and my morning routine is complete!
And of course, a gracious thank you to the great Cottonelle for sponsoring today's post on my routine. You can give the Flushable Cleansing Cloths a try by clicking HERE, where you can download a $1.50 coupon on the Cottonelle website! It's a win for everyone! So now I want to know, what's involved in YOUR morning routine?
