Unless you've been hiding under a rock recently, then you've probably noticed those witty makeup bags and compacts that have been appearing on the blogosphere. With sassy sayings such as "Please, I Can't Even Commit To A Lipstick" to "Love Raised Me, Lipstick Saved Me," Breakups To Makeups has taken the beauty industry by storm.

Angelique and her mother at The Makeup Show Orlando
Breakups to Makeup is the brain child of Angelique Velez, a New York City based makeup artist and entrepreneur. I had seen fellow bloggers and makeup artists raving about their Breakups to Makeup stickers and makeup bags that they had gotten at The Makeup Show Orlando in 2013, but I had somehow missed their booth. I made sure I made up for that mistake this past November, and I made a beeline for their booth. And ya'll... I WANTED EVERYTHING.

Not only that, but Angelique and her mother were the most delightful people to talk to. Fortunately, I went to their booth when it wasn't completely swamped with people, and I was able to speak to Angelique and learn more about her brand. Inspired by a traumatic breakup, she says that makeup saved her from spiraling downwards. And from there, the concept of Breakups to Makeup was born.

Naturally, I had to buy their tank tops so I could wear these sassy slogans loud and proud when I'm out and about. And honestly, I wish I had gotten more stuff! Whenever I wear my Breakups To Makeup tank tops out, I receive SO many compliments and people wanting to know where they can score these tops. I love how empowering these messages are for women. I mean, really, who can't get behind the saying "I would cry but my mascara is designer"?!

If you're wondering where to start, I recommend getting THIS makeup bag, THIS turban, or even THIS tee. Definitely explore their website and be prepared to make a major dent in your wallet. What's your favorite Breakups To Makeup saying?
