It's pretty much the dead of winter for most of you, and that can definitely wreak havoc on your skin. Even though Florida hasn't quite gotten the "stay cold" memo yet (one day it will be 60 degrees out, the next it'll be 80), my skin definitely changes with the changes in temperature. And I don't even live in the freezing cold! The key to maintaining healthy, glowy skin during the wintertime is fairly simple: keep a proper skincare regime, and use a lot of cream products (no powder!).

STEP ONE: PROPER SKINCARE

To keep your skin in tip-top shape throughout the winter, use emollient and creamy moisturizers, facial oils, and balms to keep the moisture in your skin. My favorites? The La Bella Figura Daily Elements Defense Face Oil, SW Basics of Brooklyn Cream, and May Lindstrom The Blue Cocoon

STEP TWO: CREAM PRODUCTS

Powder products can accentuate dryness in the skin, which is a major no-no in the wintertime. And since skin can look dull in the winter, it's a great idea to utilize luminizing products to add some radiance to the skin. My favorite products are the La Bella Figura Brazilian Denise Highlighter, Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer, HAUT Brighteners, and BECCA Beach Tints.

Do you have any tips for maintaining healthy, glowy skin in the winter?

  12. I so need this post right now. My skin is a mess this winter. From acne that won't go away to now peeling and flaking on my eyelids and under my eyes (what is this!?), I don't even know there to start. Nothing seems to keep the moisture in from facial oils to creams..you name it. I'm definitely going to check out this Daily Elements Defense oil.
