At this point, I'm sure you've already heard all the hype surrounding NARS' newest foundation: the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. For such a wordy foundation name, does it live up to all the hype? How does it compare to the Sheer Matte Foundation
Let me preface this review by saying that I have combination skin that tends to be more oily when it's warm out (which, let's be real, is like every damn day in Florida). I get greasy real quick, and I also have acne and lots of acne scarring that needs to be covered up. On good skin days, the NARS Sheer Matte foundation was perfect. It really enhanced my skin, but if I had broken out, I needed lots of concealer. With this new NARS foundation, it does a pretty great job at covering up most of my redness from the acne scarring and looks like my skin, but ten times better. Plus, I don't really have to set my face with powder since the Luminous Weightless Foundation dries to a demi-matte finish. Hurray!
And yes, one drop is really all you need. On my bad skin days, I'll do two drops, but really, that's overkill. I didn't believe this claim at first so I did three pumps on my first try and... well, that was a waste of product. Learn from my mistake! This foundation is rather pricey, so I promise you that one drop is enough. And if you use one drop, this foundation will last a pretty long time! I would say that this foundation is medium coverage and totally buildable. I mean, if you want PERFECT looking skin, I would say that two drops are doable, and will give you more of a full coverage look. The great thing about this foundation is that regardless of how many drops you spread on your face, it still feels completely weightless. It doesn't even feel like there's anything there!
There are a few cons, though. If your skin is drier, then this is not the foundation for you. I would stick with the Sheer Glow Foundation
Have you tried the All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation? What are your thoughts?
