gressa minimalist illuminating foundation serum, may lindstrom the blue cocoon, kahina giving beauty facial lotion, one love organics skin savior, caudalie beauty elixir, tom ford traceless stick foundation, laurel facial serum balance, dior glow maximizer
What better way to end my first week back from a break than some online window shopping? Being on a strict budget is the worst, you guys. I'm going to New York for a few weeks next month so I've been doing everything in my power to not spend money frivolously, even though that is literally all I want to do. Adulting is not that fun! It totally doesn't help that I've been watching a ton of Periscope broadcasts about what's in my favorite makeup artists' kits. Blerg! Indulge me for a bit, as I go into the reasons why I ~need~ these products in my life:
  • Dior Glow Maximizer Primer- One of my all-time favorite makeup artists, Lottie Stannard, is on Periscope, and she whipped this bad boy out in one of her first scopes. This creates the most gorgeous glow on the skin, and she even uses this on my current musical obsession, Halsey. How could I not want this??

  • May Lindstrom The Blue Cocoon- I've had a sample of this beauty balm forever and a day, but only started using it recently when my breakouts were so bad, they were actually drying out my skin. Thanks to superstar ingredient blue tansy, this calmed my skin down so much, and now I'm ready to empty out my wallet for a full-size tub of this. Send help.
  • Gressa Minimalist Corrective Serum Foundation- I was first introduced to Gressa at A Night For Green Beauty, and I stupidly only purchased one item from them (which I'll be reviewing soon so no spoilers!). I tried this foundation on my hand and the coverage totally impressed me. I could kick myself for not buying this. And naturally, since going on a strict budget, I've wanted nothing more than to buy this. Oh brother.

  • Laurel Facial Serum: Balance- Yet another ANFGB purchase of mine... Sort of. I bought Laurel's travel kit, and I got a travel sized facial serum. And honestly- this serum has blown my mind. Like, I need the full-sized version in my life. I actually really like using this before applying my makeup, and it makes my makeup look amazing. Sometimes oils make my makeup slide off my face, but not this one. Obsessed. I need.
  • Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick- I really want this both for myself and my pro kit, but sadly Tom Ford doesn't offer a pro discount yet. A lot of makeup artists that I admire (including Lottie!) keep this foundation in their kits, and swear by it. From what I've seen, it makes the skin look absolutely beautiful and radiant, and now- you guessed it- I want it. And also, Tom Ford. Come on!
  • Caudalie Beauty Elixir- Yet another product that I've seen in the kits of makeup artists I admire, this is something else I'm dying to splurge on for ~business reasons~. Some artists actually dampen their Beauty Blenders with this stuff. Not sure if I'm on that level yet, but I need to find out for myself why this is such a hit, right?
  • Kahina Facial Lotion- I didn't realize until afterwards, but Kahina was at A Night For Green Beauty. But I didn't even get to see them! When I found out they were there, I was so mad at myself for not checking them out. Their products look ultra luxurious, and they even sell bottles of pure prickly pear seed oil, which is hard to find! Their facial lotion looks amazing- it may have to be my next skincare splurge.
  • Chanel Powder Blush- Are you tired of hearing me talk about Lottie and Periscope? Sorry guys. But in one of her Periscopes, Lottie went on and on about how much the Chanel blushes were here favorite, and she even started depotting them on camera. When your favorite makeup artist shares her favorites, you listen and you follow suit, you know?
  • One Love Organics Skin Savior- Yet another brand I was introduced to at A Night For Green Beauty, I was actually able to try this product firsthand. And guys, it is good. For whatever reason, I didn't buy it. I'm questioning myself over lots of decisions made at ANFGB if you couldn't already tell. This product is super moisturizing, and can be mixed with foundation and other products if your skin is really dry. This looks like the perfect product for fall and winter.

  1. A fascinating list of a lot of skincare products, especially, that are new to me. But I've heard a lot about the Tom Ford Foundation Stick and I would love it, but the price!
