A couple of weeks ago, I posted a picture of the Laurel Anti-Inflammatory Facial Serum on my Instagram, and the response was quick and swift: everyone wanted to get the details on this serum. I Periscope'd a little bit on it, but I figured a gem such as this serum warranted a full on blog review. So here we go!

Here are the nitty gritty details: the Anti-Inflammatory Facial Serum is a deeply nourishing and healing serum perfect for sensitive skin, cystic acne, rosacea, and any other skin type suffering from inflammation. How can you tell if you have inflammation? Here are some skin conditions: eczema, dry patches, uneven skin tone, breakouts, broken capillaries, collagen loss, and more.

So basically, this is the best serum to use for every type of skin. Consider it a holy grail of sorts. As you probably know by now, I deal with cystic acne breakouts, eczema, and redness from acne scarring. Like, it's a rough look when I step out of a hot shower. Red face is never a good look, ya know? My experience using this serum has been PHENOMENAL.

I apply this serum as one of the last steps of my nighttime skincare routine. I use about four drops, rub it in my hands, and then pat into my skin, focusing on my drier areas especially. When I wake up in the morning, my skin looks like it rarely ever does: clear and even. Of course, not even the most powerful of serums are able to completely eliminate my breakouts, but this serum comes pretty damn close. My skin doesn't look painful, it doesn't look red, and I can run to Dunkin Donuts in the morning without worrying about looking like I have some severe and contagious skin disease.

It should come as no surprise that a serum as fantastic as this one doesn't come cheap- it clocks in at $72 for a bottle of the good stuff. But compared to some of the other natural serums out there that promise similar things, the Laurel serum is a total steal. The entire Laurel line continues to impress me. Dare I say it's becoming one of my all-time favorite skincare brands? Absolutely.

Have you tried any of the Laurel serums before?

    1. I would say it has an earthy scent, but it's not overpowering like some of the other natural serums I've tried.

  10. The price is a touch ouchy, but for something that works it seems well worth it.
